Marie Merkley comes to the Real Estate Profession from a culturally rich and diverse   background. Born and raised between the metropolis of Berlin, Germany, and the   serenity of the beaches and desert of Sinai, Egypt. She first came to the U.S. as an   exchange student at the age of 16, to satisfy her early desire for personal growth,   novelty, and adventure.

Formerly an assistant horse-trainer at Lodi, California “Sargent Equestrian Center”, she continued to practice her love for starting and training Draft horses at “Seventh Heaven Shires” in Keno, OR, before marrying her husband Michael Merkley in 2016. The two are raising their two children Liam (5) and Mila (2.5) in a ranch-setting in Bonanza, OR, where his family’s long history of raising cattle and breeding quality ranch horses, continues to inspire her love for great horses and an authentic lifestyle.

As an immigrant to the United States 10 years ago, she has become very good at navigating the variety of challenges of moving long and short distances, and has learned to apply her life-experience towards overcoming a variety of bureaucratic obstacles.

Marie’s great empathy and down-to-earth knack for direct, and effective communication are excellent assets in protecting her clients’ interests, while also fostering harmony and mutual understanding.
